Reverse description A long cross pattée extending to the coin's edge divides the field into four quadrants, each containing three pellets arranged in a triangular formation. The mint name legend is inscribed in Latin within a beaded inner circle, reading around the periphery and interrupted by the arms of the cross, identifying the issuing city as Waterford. The overall design follows the standard Edwardian Irish penny reverse type.
