| Reverse description | Central field features a cross with four arms extending to a beaded inner circle, with a globule or pellet placed in each of the four quadrants formed by the cross, creating a wheel-like composition typical of Anglo-Scandinavian coinage of the period. The cross itself is boldly engraved with triple lines on each arm, and the overall design is enclosed within a plain linear circle surrounded by the outer legend. The circumscribed Latin legend naming the moneyer and mint reads: OV : DENCARL ON LV, introduced by a cross pattée, identifying the moneyer Ulf Denkarl operating at the Lund mint. |
