Reverse description A bold voided cross pattée divides the reverse field into four quarters, with each arm extending to an inner circle or ring surrounding the cross. A small annulet or pellet appears at the centre where the arms intersect. The quadrants are left largely plain, with a single symbol or letter placed in one quarter. A degenerate uncial legend encircles the design around the periphery of the irregularly shaped flan.
