| Reverse description | A double-lined cross occupies the central field, set within a solid ring that divides the design from the surrounding legend. The inscription in Latin uncial script runs between the solid ring and the beaded border on the rim. The cross type and layout are consistent with the broad family of Anglo-Scandinavian penny designs that influenced Norwegian coinage during the late eleventh century. |
