| Reverse description | Central design composed of a long cross with elaborate fleur-de-lis terminals, the arms extending to a beaded inner circle and dividing the field into four segments, each containing a small decorative annulet or floral motif. At the centre of the cross, a small fleur-de-lis ornament is visible within a lozenge-shaped junction. The overall design is characteristic of late-medieval Burgundian Low Countries silver coinage, with the date 1499 incorporated into the circumferential legend. The legend is separated from the cross design by a raised inner ring and punctuated by double annelets. |
