| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large crowned heraldic shield bearing the quartered arms of Philip the Handsome: the upper quarters display the arms of Austria (horizontal bars) and Burgundy (diagonal stripes with a lion), while the lower quarters present the lion of Namur and the fleur-de-lis of Burgundy. The shield is surmounted by an ornate crown with trefoil finials rendered in the Gothic style. A beaded inner border frames the design, with the abbreviated Latin legend running along the outer periphery. |
