Obverse description Central shield bearing the quartered arms of Bavaria-Palatinate, surmounted by a princely crown, with the denomination mark 'S' (1 Sol) visible to the right of the escutcheon. The arms display the characteristic lozengy field of Bavaria alongside the Palatinate lion in the quarters. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, identifying the issuer by name and title. The flan is irregular and slightly cracked, consistent with hand-hammered manufacture of the period. The overall relief is moderately worn, with the heraldic details of the quarters still discernible in the field.
