Obverse description	Printed in olive-green and brown on pale paper, the obverse is framed by an ornate guilloche border with numeral "1" repeated in each corner. The bank title "BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO" is set in bold letterpress across the upper portion, below which the serial number and denomination "$1" appear flanked by repeated serial numerals. A cursive promise-to-pay text in Portuguese occupies the centre field, supported by a fine radiating underprint, with the place and date "Lisboa de Janeiro de 1910" and three manuscript signatures below, each accompanied by a role designation.

Reverse description	Printed in dark brown and olive on a fine guilloche underprint, the reverse carries a row of Chinese characters along the top edge reading "大西洋國海外滙理銀行" (Banco Nacional Ultramarino in Chinese). The bank name in Latin script occupies a central horizontal band, below which a large circular vignette contains the Portuguese royal coat of arms surrounded by an ornamental wreath. Denomination cartouches reading "$1" with Chinese numeral "壹圓" are placed symmetrically to the left and right, while "UMA PATACA" and "DILI (TIMOR)" appear in bold letterpress towards the lower centre, with the printer's imprint at the foot.
