| Reverse description | Minerva, the goddess of wisdom and warfare, is depicted seated atop a pile of arms and armour in the central field, rendered in a characteristic late Renaissance hammered style. Three stars are placed in the exergue beneath the figure. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design, reading MO NO ORD A DD F, an abbreviated formula referencing the monetary authority and lordship of Frinco. |

| Additional information |
Frinco was a minor Piedmontese lordship whose right to strike billon coinage in the late sixteenth century depended entirely on imperial grant — a privilege jealously contested by the Duchy of Savoy, which was systematically absorbing smaller jurisdictions throughout the period. Anonymous issues of this type, carrying no ruler's name, were a common workaround among lesser lords seeking to circulate coin without inviting immediate legal challenge from larger neighbors.
