Reverse description Crowned Portuguese royal arms at centre, featuring the quintas shield bearing five escutcheons arranged in a cross, each charged with five bezants, enclosed within a decorative cartouche flanked by elaborate volute scrollwork on either side. The crowned shield is rendered in a bold, high-relief style typical of Portuguese colonial mint production at Goa. The entire design is contained within a beaded or toothed border. No reverse legend is present, the heraldic device occupying the full field of the coin.
