| Additional information |
Montenegro ceased to exist as an independent state in January 1916 when Austro-Hungarian forces completed their occupation of the country. This 1915 trial strike in bronze was produced as Montenegro's government explored continued coinage — an effort overtaken entirely by the collapse of the kingdom. No regular issue followed, leaving pattern and trial pieces from this final year as the only physical record of that minting ambition. KM#Pn1 is the sole catalogued trial of this denomination from the period.
