| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the tughra of Sultan Mustafa III, the elaborate imperial calligraphic monogram rendered in a bold hammered style with characteristic looping elements and vertical shafts rising above the body of the cipher. The design fills the flan with fine calligraphic detail. The entire device is enclosed within a beaded border running around the coin's circumference, typical of Ottoman billon issues of the mid-eighteenth century. |
