| Obverse description | Irregular copper flan bearing a crudely struck Arabic legend in two lines across the field, typical of hammered provincial Ottoman coinage. The inscription reads the mint name 'Tripoli' (طرابلس) and the accession year 1223 AH, with the regnal year number appearing above. The lettering is informal and somewhat compressed, reflecting the artisanal striking methods employed at the Tripoli Mint.
