| Reverse description | The reverse bears a multi-line Persian inscription in Nastaliq script filling the entire field, recording the mint name 'Nagar' (ضرب نگر, Zarb Nagar) and the regnal year in the Mauludi (AM) calendar. The date AM 1224, corresponding to 1796 CE, is incorporated within the legend. The bold, flowing script is characteristic of Tipu Sultan's copper coinage, struck at the Nagar mint, with a plain raised border encircling the inscription. |
