| Obverse description | Crudely struck hammered field bearing the name of Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II rendered in stylised Persian-Naskh script, accompanied by a four-petalled floral ornament in the field. The design follows the Mughal imperial coinage convention, with the imperial legend disposed across the flan in the manner typical of late Mughal provincial copper issues. The irregular flan and bold, somewhat primitive engraving are characteristic of Kishangarh princely state workshop production. |
