Reverse description Central field dominated by a stylised peacock, the dynastic emblem of the Gaekwad rulers of Baroda, depicted in profile with wings partially spread and tail displayed. The bird is rendered in a bold, simplified manner typical of hammered copper coinage of the period. Subsidiary legends or numerals appear in the field to the left and below the central device. The flan is irregular in shape with slightly raised edges, consistent with hand-struck production.
