| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized double leaf motif surrounded by Gurmukhi legends arranged around the periphery. The inscription references the Amritsar mint and the Nanakshahi regnal year 1885 (corresponding to 1828 CE). The design is characteristic of the hammered copper coinage of the Sikh Empire, with bold but irregularly struck lettering typical of the Amritsar mint. The flan shows uneven edges consistent with hand-cut copper planchets of the period. |
