| Reverse description | The reverse field bears a multi-line hammered legend in Persian script, with the mint mark 'Jhar' (झाड़) identifying the Sawai Jaipur mint. The inscription is distributed across the central field in the traditional format employed on Jaipur copper paisas of the reign of Maharaja Ram Singh II. The flan is irregular and the strike is typical of hand-hammered production, with uneven surfaces and slight doubling at the margins. The overall design follows the conventional layout of Jaipur State copper coinage of the mid-nineteenth century. |
