| Obverse description | Irregular rectangular copper flan, hammer-struck, bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in the field. The inscription, rendered in Naskh script, reads the royal titles and name of the Nizam: Asaf Jah, Mir Mehboob Ali Khan, Bahadur, Fateh Jung. The lettering is bold and slightly uneven, characteristic of hand-hammered coinage, with the script distributed across the available field without a defined border. The surface shows natural patination and die-shift typical of this hammered series. |
