Obverse description Central device depicting an open hand (pancha) in high relief, fingers spread upward, occupying the majority of the square flan. A crescent symbol is positioned to the left of the hand and a six-pointed star to the right, both serving as heraldic devices associated with the Lunavada state. Nagari or Gujarati script legend appears in the lower portion of the field. The design is contained within a plain border following the irregular square outline of the flan.

Reverse description Two registers of Gujarati script legend divided by a horizontal line running across the width of the flan. The upper register contains two lines of inscription and the lower register bears a further line of text, likely denoting the issuing authority and denomination. The lettering is boldly struck in low relief on the plain copper field, consistent with the crude hammered technique typical of Indian princely state coinage of the late nineteenth century.
