Obverse description Inscription in Nagari script occupying the central field, referencing the name and authority of Maharaja Khande Rao (reigned 1856–1870), ruler of the Princely State of Baroda. The legend is arranged across the flan in a style typical of mid-nineteenth-century Indian princely coinage, with a horizontal dividing line separating the upper and lower portions of the field. The crude, hand-engraved style reflects the hammered manufacture characteristic of Baroda copper issues of this period.
Obverse script Devanagari
