| Reverse description | Central field bearing a two-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script, boldly struck and spanning the full width of the irregular flan. The plain field is entirely devoid of decorative borders, symbols, or subsidiary motifs, reflecting the austere epigraphic tradition of Madurai Sultanate copper issues. Strike is uneven in areas due to the irregular hammered flan, typical of mid-14th-century South Indian coinage. The overall style is consistent with the epigraphic copper coinage attributed to Jalal-ud-din Ahsan Shah. |
