| Reverse description | Hammered reverse bearing a Persian-script mint and date inscription arranged across the field, divided by a horizontal raised line separating the upper and lower registers. The lower register incorporates a bow-and-arrow symbol, the dynastic emblem of the rulers of Sirmur, rendered in raised relief. The date corresponding to 1821 CE appears within the legend. The layout and execution are characteristic of the hand-struck copper coinage of the Sirmur hill state, with irregular flan contours and bold, slightly asymmetric lettering. |
