Obverse description Irregular rectangular hammered copper flan bearing a single Devanagari character in the central field, rendered in a bold, deeply struck cursive style typical of princely-state issues of Gujarat. The legend consists of the syllable 'जी' (ji), an abbreviated dynastic or regal mark associated with the ruling house of Radhanpur. The strike is characteristic of hand-hammered production, resulting in slightly uneven relief and a textured, granular field. No border or additional decorative elements are present.

Additional information

Radhanpur was among the smaller Muslim-ruled princely states in what is now Gujarat, governed under British paramountcy but retaining the right to issue local copper coinage for internal circulation. Bismilla Khan's tenure was administratively unremarkable, and these paisas saw genuine village-level use rather than courtly prestige — the irregular flan shape reflects local striking conditions, not ceremony.
