| Obverse description | Central field features the royal cipher of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, rendered in Devanagari script and flanked by decorative floral ornaments. A circular Devanagari legend surrounds the central device, reading the king's full royal title. The date in Vikram Samvat era (2039) appears in the lower portion of the field. The rim is bordered by a beaded circle. The overall design is characteristic of the lightweight aluminium coinage issued under the Nepalese monarchy. |
