Obverse description Crudely struck copper flan bearing a stylized Nagari or Devanagari legend in low relief within a rough irregular field. The design, typical of hammered Baroda paisa coinage of the mid-19th century, shows bold raised characters distributed across the coin's surface, accompanied by pellet ornaments near the periphery. The irregular planchet and uneven strike are characteristic of the primitive minting techniques employed at the Baroda mint during this period. The surface exhibits heavy granulation and patination consistent with prolonged circulation.
