| Obverse description | Uniformed bust of Reza Shah Pahlavi facing left, wearing a military peaked cap with insignia, set within a wreath of oak and olive branches framing the lower portion of the design. The Persian legend encircling the upper field reads 'Pahlavi, Shahanshah of Iran' with the accession date 'Azar 1304' (November–December 1925) inscribed in the left field. The portrait is rendered in low relief in a formal, heraldic style characteristic of early Pahlavi-era coinage. |
