| Reverse description | Convex gold field bearing a stylized architectural or heraldic device in high relief, centrally positioned and occupying the majority of the flan. The principal motif appears to be a pointed arch or mihrab-like form with an angular polygonal upper section, below which two raised pellets or bosses are symmetrically placed within the lower recessed area. The surrounding field is plain and unlettered, with no visible marginal legend. The design is executed in the bold, abstract relief style typical of hammered gold pagodas of the Bijapur Sultanate. The flan is irregularly shaped, as is standard for hammered issues of this period and region. |
