| Reverse description | Central field depicts the Swedish coat of arms — a shield bearing three crowns arranged two over one — surmounted by a royal crown with foliate finial, all set within a beaded inner circle. The reverse legend, distributed around the periphery in Latin, reads MO NOVA STOC HOL, identifying this as a new coin of Stockholm, with the last two digits of the date (89) incorporated into the legend. A star mintmark, serving as the Uppsala Mint identifier, appears in the upper middle portion of the reverse field. The hammered execution produces characteristic irregular striking, typical of late 16th-century Swedish billon örtug coinage. |
