| Obverse description | Central field features the large royal cipher of Oscar II, composed of intertwined Gothic initials beneath an ornate Swedish royal crown, rendered in high relief. A small mint mark appears at the base of the cipher. The circumferential legend BRODRAFOLKENS VAL curves along the upper periphery in large, boldly struck Latin capital letters, reflecting the motto meaning 'The Welfare of Brother Peoples'. The overall design is engraved in a clean, restrained neoclassical style attributed to engraver Lea Ahlborn. |
