Obverse description Central field dominated by the royal cypher of King Haakon VII, rendered as an interlaced 'H7' monogram surmounted by a royal crown. The monogram is large and boldly styled, occupying the majority of the coin's face. A circular legend reading 'KONGERIKET NORGE' (Kingdom of Norway) runs along the periphery, separated from the central device by an inner beaded border. The overall design is austere and heraldic in character, consistent with Norwegian coinage of the early twentieth century.
