Obverse description The royal cypher of King Charles XII occupies the central field, comprising the initial 'C' with the Roman numeral 'XII' inscribed within, surmounted by an elaborate royal crown rendered in fine relief. The entire device is framed by two symmetrical sprigs of foliage — characteristic of Swedish baroque coinage — rising from the base and curving outward to either side, forming a wreath-like border around the monogram. The flan exhibits the characteristic irregular planchet shape typical of early 18th-century Swedish small billon coinage.
