| Obverse description | The Mexican national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a left-facing eagle perched upon a nopal cactus growing from a rocky islet, the eagle clutching a serpent in its beak and talons. The cactus is flanked by laurel and oak branches tied at the base. The circular legend 'ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS' arches along the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering. The design is executed in high relief with fine engraved detail throughout. |
