Obverse description At center, the national arms of Peru displayed within an ornate shield, flanked by laurel and palm branches tied with a ribbon at the base. The circular legend BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ arcs along the upper field, with the date 2015 positioned in the lower exergue. Reverse description Two pre-Columbian Vicús ceramic vessels are depicted in high relief at center: a zoomorphic animal figure in the upper right and a duck-form vessel in the lower left, both rendered in a realistic sculptural style. To the left, the denomination numeral '1' is shown prominently alongside a stylized wave or flag motif incorporating the word 'SOL'. The Lima Mint monogram 'LM' appears in the right field. The legend CERÁMICA VICÚS S. II a.C. – S. IV d.C. is inscribed along the upper portion of the field, referencing the cultural period spanning the 2nd century BC to the 4th century AD.
