| Reverse description | An elaborate floriate cross with lis terminals at each arm radiates from a central compartment containing the letter 'h', forming a symmetric voided design. An annulet appears in the first spandrel of the second quarter, serving as the Calais mint identifier. Annulets are employed as stop marks throughout the surrounding legend. The four quadrants created by the cross arms each contain a decorative lis motif, lending the reverse a refined heraldic character consistent with Henrician gold coinage of the Annulet series. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded circle. |
