Obverse description The obverse features a row of stylized human figures — depicted as children in playful motion — extending across the middle field, rendered in a modern graphic style. To the upper right, the State of Israel emblem (Menorah flanked by olive branches) appears alongside the trilingual country name in Hebrew (ישראל), Latin (ISRAEL), and Arabic (إسرائيل). The upper left portion of the field bears the Hebrew inscription יום העצמאות התשס״ד (Independence Day 5764) and the English legend INDEPENDENCE DAY 2004. The large numeral '1' occupies the lower center of the field, with the denomination שקל חדש / NEW SHEQEL inscribed beneath it. A mint star mark appears at the bottom of the field.
