Reverse description Plain field surrounding the central square hole, with a mint-mark character at the top position and a series number at the bottom, consistent with Joseon-period cash coinage conventions. The character 訓 (Hun) at the top identifies the issuing authority as the Hullyeondogam (Military Training Command), one of several government offices authorized to mint Sangpyong Tongbo cash coins. A Chinese numeral indicating the series number (e.g. 三, meaning 'three') appears at the bottom, serving as a workshop or furnace series identifier. The character 文 (Mun), denoting the denomination, appears to the right of the square hole. The reverse is otherwise unadorned with a smooth, flat field.
