Obverse description Central field bearing a Persian poetic couplet in fine calligraphic Naskh script, invoking the name and titles of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II (regnal year 11), identified as Badshah. The inscription is arranged in sweeping diagonal bands across the flan, executed in the fine style characteristic of Bengal Presidency mohurs of this period. The legend is enclosed within a plain inner circle surrounded by a beaded border at the rim.
