Obverse description Central field bears a three-line Arabic legend naming the ruler, reading 'Nawab Bahadur / Rasul Muhammad / Khanji', arranged in flowing Nasta'liq script across the flan. The inscriptions are set within a plain inner circle surrounded by a uniform beaded border running the full circumference of the coin. The lettering is bold and deeply struck, characteristic of the Junagadh mint style of the early twentieth century.

Additional information

Rasul Muhammad Khan ruled Junagadh for less than two years — he died in 1911 after a reign marked by acute administrative instability, with the state's affairs increasingly managed under British oversight. Gold mohurs of his reign are correspondingly scarce, the product of a treasury that had little time or political stability to authorize significant gold strikes.
