Obverse description Octagonal hammered gold flan enclosed by a continuous beaded border following the coin's eight sides. The field is filled with four horizontal lines of Bengali (Assamese) script in bold raised characters, invoking the deity and the region; the topmost line reads 'Sri Sri Gaurinath' and the subsequent lines reference the divine patronage of the Ahom kingdom. The inscription is arranged within an informal rectilinear text panel, a characteristic convention of Ahom coinage. No figurative effigy is present; the entire design is epigraphic in nature.
