Obverse description The obverse displays bold Naskh/Nastaliq calligraphy filling the entire field, presenting the Kalima (Islamic declaration of faith) in multiple registers. The bold, deeply struck Arabic legends are arranged in flowing lines across the coin face, with marginal inscriptions encircling the central text within a plain linear border. The hammered flan produces a characteristically irregular surface typical of Mughal gold mohurs of the Akbar period.
