| Obverse description | Central field displays a stylized deity figure — likely a representation of a divine emblem or royal symbol — rendered in bold relief in the traditional Newar hammered style. Surrounding the central motif, six panels of Devanagari legend are arranged in a rectangular grid format filling the field, reading the royal name and titles of King Yoga Narendra Malla along with the Nepal Sambat date 820 (1700 CE). The legend reads in Devanagari script: Shri 3 Yoga Narendra Malla Deva Nepal Sambat 820. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border of fine granules following the coin's circular periphery. The coin exhibits the characteristic angular, block-letter Devanagari script typical of late Malla-period Patan coinage. |
