Obverse description Central field dominated by an intricate geometric and floral diaper pattern composed of interlocking lobed cartouches, each enclosing Devanagari script characters, arranged around a central square device. The design is executed in the traditional Nepalese hammered style with bold, deeply struck relief. A continuous border of raised pellets encircles the entire composition, serving as the outer boundary. The overall arrangement reflects the characteristic mandala-inspired aesthetic of Newar coinage from the Kathmandu Valley. The royal legend naming Jaya Prakash Malla is distributed across the field within the petal-shaped compartments.

Reverse description The reverse displays a densely composed floral mandala design featuring a prominent central downward-pointing triangle, a tantric symbol associated with the goddess Bhavani (Shakti), surrounded by a ring of lobed petal-shaped cartouches each bearing Devanagari inscription characters. The arrangement radiates outward in concentric registers, framed by an interlaced foliate border and an outer ring of raised pellets. The Nepal Sambat regnal date appears distributed within the legend compartments surrounding the central motif. The hammered execution gives the relief an organic, slightly irregular quality characteristic of mid-18th century Kathmandu mint production.
