| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan struck with the royal devotional legend in bold Nasta'liq script arranged in three horizontal registers across the field, reading 'Banda-yi Shah-i Wilayat Sulayman, Zarb Isfahan' (Servant of the King of Sanctity, Sulayman, struck at Isfahan), with the AH date 1096 incorporated within the upper register. The entire inscription is enclosed within a plain inner border surrounded by a prominent outer border of raised globules, characteristic of Safavid Type C coinage. The script is deeply struck and occupies nearly the full coin surface, with the mint name appearing in a distinct lower register in an elongated, fluid hand. |
