Obverse description The obverse displays the denomination numeral '1' prominently in the center field, rendered in teal-green ink on a natural wood substrate. Below the numeral, the currency name 'MINIM' appears in capital Latin letters. A decorative border frames the entire square field, with geometric patterning along all four edges. The design is applied by surface printing directly onto the wood, giving the piece a stamp-like artistic character.

Additional information

The Minim Gaferut issues of 2007 are novelty non-circulating pieces produced for the collector market, not legal tender in any practical sense despite the FSM attribution. Wooden coins of this type were manufactured by a small number of specialty minting operations in Europe catering to the fantasy currency trade. Gaferut itself is an uninhabited atoll in the Caroline Islands, which lends the denomination an appropriately fictional character.
