Obverse description Central round hole surrounded by Arabic legends in the field. The upper arc bears the royal title and name 'Farouk I' in Arabic script, while the lower arc carries the inscription 'King of Egypt' in Arabic. To the left of the hole, the Hijri date 1357 is inscribed, and to the right, the Christian era date 1938 appears in Eastern Arabic numerals. The entire design is enclosed within a plain inner ring and an outer dentilated border.

Reverse description Central round hole flanked on either side by the numeral '1' — in Western Arabic numerals to the left and Eastern Arabic numerals to the right — denoting the denomination. The design is enclosed within a plain inner ring and an outer dentilated border.
