| Obverse description | Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed at centre, each head surmounted by a crown and the whole ensemble topped by a larger imperial crown, with wings spread and holding a sceptre and orb in its talons. On the breast of the eagle rests a crowned shield bearing the rampant lion of Finland. The central device is enclosed within a rope-style inner border, surrounded by a beaded outer border. The circular legend in Finnish reads: 94.48 KAPPALETTA NAULASTA SELWÄÄ HOPEATA (94.48 parts per pound of pure silver), distributed around the field. |
