| Obverse description | Elaborate Art Nouveau multicolour letterpress design in olive, rust, and gold tones, with a central vignette of a silhouetted hilltop fortification beneath a dramatic sky. The vignette is framed by a large oval cartouche bearing the inscription GUTSCHEIN DER YKERNBORG, flanked by four decorative circular rosette ornaments at the corners. A broad ornamental border carries Low German verse text running along all four sides, with validity inscription GÜLTIG BIS 31.12.1921 and the manuscript signatures of the Verwaltungsrat below; the printer's imprint HARTUNG & CO.
