| Obverse description | Central device depicting a medieval galley or cog sailing upon stylized waves, its hull rendered with horizontal ribbing suggesting a clinker-built construction. Above the vessel, a spread eagle with outstretched wings perches prominently, referencing the civic heraldry of Gollnow.
