Obverse description Armored and draped bust of King Christian IV facing right, surmounted by a large royal crown, all contained within a beaded or rope inner circle. The royal effigy is rendered in high relief characteristic of early 17th-century Danish coinage. A Latin legend encircles the design in the outer field between the inner circle and the rim, identifying the monarch by name and title.
